how many years of school exactly does it usually take? Is it that i can go to community college right away after highschool or do i go to 4 years of a university and then a 2 year dental school? Is it better to get an associate degree or a bachelor degree?

p.s. for my next year senior class for science, should i take physics or human anatomy…im going to be 12th next year thanks

1) I brush 2-5 times a day, floss 5 times a month, and use listering 2-3 times a week. Is there anything else I should be doing aside from this to maintain the health of my teeth?
2) I have looked pretty extensively for dental insurance. My job does not offer it, I can not get on state insurance, and all I can find in dental discount plans. Where do I find dental insurance? About how much does it run? Does it take a while to go into effect? Are the dental discount plans worthwhile, or are they a gimmick?
3) I get toothaches that hurt it places where I had cavities as a child. When it happens it hurts to floss or chew, are these new cavities?
4) How much does it cost w/out insuracne to get cavities filled?
To get a check up? To get my teeth cleaned?
5) Whenever I drink, it hurts to chew the next day, is this normal?
6) I’m 23, my wisdom teeth haven’t come in yet, sometimes its tender and hurts back there, is this normal?

I’m in highschool and I want to become a dental assistant so what classes do I need to take?

I’ve never understood why you need to use a special floss to floss teeth. Why can you not just use cotton sewing thread instead?

I’m a senior in high school and Have been looking into continuing my life and education in Mexico. I’ve looked at schools and have found that the University of Anahuac in Mexico City interests me. The major I’m considering is marketing.

Can anyone give me some tips, helpful sites, advice, etc. I already speak spanish so thats no problem, but what would I do about things like scholarships or financial aid? actually applying and such? Anyone that has gone there out of high school in america? I like the idea of living there, but I’d like to do this right. So any help would be greatly appreciated!

My plan is to get a BFA in Photography. However, I still have many ‘core’ classes left at community college before I can get accepted into the program at the University. This upsets me to some degree as I want to do more than practice and read tutorials on the web. I want to learn.

The community college offers courses on digital photography, as well as photoshop, graphic design. The credits do not apply to a degree, but I feel they would allow my practice to have a purpose so that I am not learning the wrong techniques.

I don’t think you read the question… or at least you didn’t understand it. These are not applied towards a degree. This is just for my own enrichment so to speak. While I wait to get into the program at a university.

I lost full time student status during the spring semester so my coverage was revoked. For me to receive coverage I have to be a full time student again. Will they consider me full time in the summer session or do I have to wait until the Fall session? Help! My wisdom teeth are killing me!

I wanted to know how many are not having a problem with a gold crown sitting next to an amalgam (silver) filling or with amalgam in their mouths? My dentist keeps saying it will be okay. As I am allergic to the other crown (silica) materials…I don’t feel there is much choice.

I know all the rules about 3-1-1 and all that, I’m just not positive on whether they would be strict about toothpaste and lotion.

I’m assuming mascara and foundation would be considered liquid but I thought I’d ask about that too!
Oh, and contacts too. Are they considered liquid if they are in the original packaging?
Funny that contacts are fine when that clearly is liquid they are sitting in, whereas toothpaste that is almost solid is not. Thanks everyone!

It is my last wisdom tooth on the lower right side of my mouth. I can see about 1/2 the tooth the other half is still under the gum. My ear itches like in the canal? It is just the right tonsil as well.

I have no insurance and I need 3 root canals and 16 fillings. I can’t afford the down payment on this work. Is there help available for someone in my position. I’ve looked for grants; very confusing. I make too much money for medi-cal but no where near enough for 8,000 in my mouth. Help!

I have a new job and am signing up for my benefits and they offer dental insurance through guardian BUT my dentist is not on that insurance on either plan, she doesnt take it at all. i love my dentist and she made me a nightguard since i grind my teeth at night and i’d hate to sign up for this dental insurance and have to go to one of those castle dentals or whatever just for a free cleaning when i could stay with my dentist and just pay out of pocket. i am 29 and have very healthy teeth, i dont have any cavities and i have straight teeth so no work is needed. should i opt out of dental insurance all together or should i get the dental plan and see castle dental and ditch my current dentist? i dont think it would be right to see my current dentist just for the night guard and go to another one for cleaning, etc. that wouldnt be fair. what do you think? i dont know what to do!
if i opt out of it the company will pay me 150 bucks instead

I am selecting my course-load for my first year in a biochemistry 4 years honours program, but I want to know the course prerequisites for a DMD program at a dental school (with specific course numbers and names). I may be applying for a dental school at the University of Toronto or McGuill University in the future, so the course prerequisites have to apply to a Canadian University.

I am going to Ottawa U or Carelton U in Ottawa next year, and I want to choose the right courses.

Is it very very basic or better then private?
