Hello there, last year i had a root canal on the tooth and the side of my front tooth. It has been fine for 6 months with no sensitivity, pain or annoyance. The past 4 weeks on and off the tooth seems to have like a bubble of air in the gum. There is no pain just feels weird. It doesn’t seem infected. Im going to book into my dentist but anyone had the same or similar symptoms?

Ever since I had an implant in my upper mouth, when I smile my cheek and lower eye rapidly twitch.
This happens quite often even if I’m not smiling.
I’m concerned because it started after the surgery and a year later it still does it.
I’ve read about inadequate sleep, too much caffeine or stress but none of these apply.
Is there another reason?

Over night the Metal looking disc where my implant is going is covered with what looks like a blood pimple. im just wondering if this is normal. or should i attempt to drain it. or will my dentist do it when i go to get the tooth fitted, or will it just go away?

I have the clear Essix retainer (I guess my dentist was trying to be cheap) for 5 years. For those of you who know about it, or had it, you know it isn’t very durable even with normal use. It gets random mineral build ups and gets pretty gross. The back where the molar are gets a bit cracked.
I stopped wearing them for 2 month, but looks like my teeth are shifting (thanks to the growing wisdom teeth). I won’t have time to get my wisdom teeth pulled out for another few month since I won’t be around because of college. So I am wearing my retainers again. However, they are a bit cracked and disgusting. I want to get the wire kind retainers because they last a LOT longer and won’t get as disgusting. I don’t really mind wearing retainers for like the rest of my life at night just to keep my teeth straight, they don’t bother me.
I have Delta Dental, I know they know don’t cover lost retainers, but I don’t know…. this is normal use, not my fault that the retainer’s life isn’t that great.
Is there anyway I can get it covered? If not, approximately how much would it cost me out of the pocket?
Actually, problem is solved.
My old retainers were with my mom’s dental insurance.
I used my dad’s now, so that covers one retainer.
Once is start working after college/grad school (4-5year), I’ll get my own dental insurance… etc so it shouldn’t be a problem even if my second ones break.

I would like a detailed explanation on how you do tests, how points are calculated, homework, and all that. Btw is a text book required? how does that work.

I have an impacted incisor above my front teeth beneath the gums and a baby tooth that hasn’t dropped. I am 21 years old and am about to have ortho treatment. My ortho said that it would be easiest to remove both teeth and replace it with an implant. should i keep my natural tooth and go through the extra steps to fix it, or are implants dependable??

my daughter is a high school sophmore and a very advanced students, and is interested in being an international trade specialist. A friend suggested that she take an online course in business management. Is she old enough, and about how much does it cost?

My friend has been going to a local dental school for the last 3-4 years. A few months ago she started going back to this same facility but a new student was assigned to her.
The new student did not complete all of the work she was supposed to but one of the teeth she completed started bothering my friend. As of yesterday, my friend went to another dentist and got an x-ray and they told her that the student drilled too deep which has caused the tooth to become infected and it now has to be removed. Can she take any legal action?

I am having some pain in one molar (which had a root canal about a year and a half ago) only when I eat or drink hot things. I can chew with it and cold things don’t bother it. This is the first problem I’ve had with this tooth since the root canal.
I’m going to the dentist this afternoon, I’d just like to have some idea of what could be wrong.
