I am 20.My dental health was never taken care of properly when i was young. I have some dental insurance but nothing that covers orthodontists or cosmetic procedures.I cannot afford good dental insurance. I have a "mutilated bite" one dentists told me. I have over crowded teeth and like a criss cross bite. My gums hurt me, I also have TMJ. Not only is my mouth painful, I am very self conscious about it. My teeth chip easily. I was wondering if there are any orthodontists or anyone that does cosmetic dentistry that do pro bono work or work for reduced price.I’d even pay installments, Is there anyone that can help me. or point me in the right direction. My teeth are only getting worse and i fear i will never have the lump some of money to get them taken care of.
I live in southern AL.

I would like to becoming a Dental Hygienist in Michigan and have no prior experience. Is it beneficial to get a certification in Dental Assisting before going for the AS in Dental Hygiene or would it be a waste of time and money. From my research assistants make about half of hygienists.

I am looking into a Pink G2 Universal Bluetooth Blue Tooth Wireless Headset but I am not sure about the quality. Does anyone know if this is a good model?
I don’t need the top of the line brand really. I just want a headset with great ability to hear others clearly. That is my main concern. As long as people can hear me and I can hear them (clearly) I am fine with that.

I just finished school for my certificate in veterinary assisting and my husband and I have been discussing having a child here in the near future. I’ve come to a lot of realizations while on my internship and need a little guidance as to what to do with my next move.
I’d like to try to conceive within the next couple months and continue working at my stable customer service job then take some time off to raise the child. I could be continuing my education online to get my CVT and stay at home with my child then, so once I am back out in the field, I can go farther than just cleaning kennels.
Or should I continue working at a vet clinic, build a solid position then get pregnant a year or so down the line? I’d hate to do that then tell my boss I can’t do half my job duties (x-rays, anesthetic monitoring, etc) then possibly lose my position once I’m out in the field again after giving birth.
I’m just looking for some advice… any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Let me add…With my current job, I have amazing health insurance. If I leave it and go into the veterinary industry, health insurance isn’t always offered or it’s incredibly cheap/worthless.

I am wondering if a high fever that came days after the surgery should be a concern. I am still achy and have a headache and body aches. What to do?

I’m 37 years old and usually people my age start getting their wisdom teeth pulled. My dentist has not said I need mine out but he does comment on how I have a lot of teeth. Is their a medical reason, beside gingivitis or cavities, for removing wisdom teeth?

May, of this year, I paid cash for root canal. I recently started getting dental insurance and old dentist did not accept my insurance so I went to a new dentist. My new dentist have done quite of bit of work for me now and have prepared me for the crown for the root canal the old dentist did. But my insurance called and told me that the coverage would be denied because the root canal done in may was not complete as told by my xrays. I fear if the root canal has to be redone I will lose the tooth. After my new dentist prepared it, barely any tooth is left. But why didnt my new dentist notice the incorrect root canal?? Should I tell my old dentist what is going on?? do i let my new dentist fix the problem, could this be dental malpractice in need for a lawyer, especally if i end up losing the tooth? If not could I at least get my cash back for a root canal that was not even done right? should I go to a new dentist all together??

They are removing a failed post & crown tomorrow morning. I am becoming anxious.
omg, I hadn’t even thought about my dentist being nervous, too!!!
This is a molar & at this point it’s a goner, so are your referring to neighboring teeth?

I went to the orthodontist today and i told him that I was very unhappy with my teeth and he told me that I need to have braces for up to a year but if I took good care of them then I wouldn’t need them on long. I have delta dental insurance and they cover 1500.00 of my braces. The orthodontist said that it was a very minor and easy fix but I am getting prices like 3000.00 something I didn’t want to hear. I won’t exactly know how much they will cost until my insurance company gets back with them but I am impatient and I want to know how much they will cost. Will someone please help me out????

What courses do you need to become an orthodontist, and in total how many years would that take?

Are they safe? Is there pain involved? Are they really permanent? Are you glad you did it? Only responses from those who have actually had implants, please. I’m on pins and needles.
