I have crowding with my teeth and need to get braces and periodontal care asap. What is the best dental insurance that will cover orthodontics and periodontics?

Tomorrow I am beginning the removal process of my braces. I have been anticpating this for awhile. The thing is, there are some gaps between my teeth that I am uncomfortable with. My question is, will the orthodontist stick with his timeline, or adjust it accordingly to my concerns/ current state of my mouth?

Hello, im hoping someone could help me. Im 19, a college student and live on my own so getting under my parents plan cant happen. Can anyone recommend a cheap dental insurance that would help me cover a root canal procedure?

Right now Im considering UNI-CARE 100 Discount Dental Plan, its only a year and covers root canals. Any other plans anyone happens to know about and willing to share would be appreciated!!

I’m getting a bone graft in a few days. It’s going to be in preperation for an implant.
They’re getting the bone from 2 of my wisom teeth which they’re also going to pull out.

How long will my face be swollen? How much is it going to hurt?
Also, when will I be able to play sports regularly again? Particularly wrestling…

Like the title says, how much does it hurt to have a tooth pulled without anesthesia? I may need to get my wisdom teeth removed soon, and if I do, I am considering going without painkillers.

At the very least, no painkillers after the fact, but how much does getting a tooth removed without Novocaine or another local or system anesthesia hurt?

I don’t know how we’re doing the hurt scale today. 1 to 10, blinding, unbearable, whatever system you want to use is cool.

I failed the cardiac ultrasound program, is dental hygienist gonna be easier? What about radiiologic tech?
Any answers appreciated please respond. I have two learning disabilities to overcome to make any of these work. Will I be able to do it?

I tried my best in the cardiac program but still didn’t pass. I dont wanna go through that pain anymore. Is Rad tech easier than both of these? I absolutly love anatomy but never took cross sectional anatomy.

Hello, I have a dental insurance plan that will not cover the 4 dental implants I need (all molars). The last couple of plans I have had told me the same thing, and my dentist tells me no dental insurance plan will help with these, as they are considered cosmetic. I am sick of it and need to get started on these implants ASAP. My dentist recommended looking into a dental discount plan, which would cost a couple hundred a year, but would save 0-00 per implant. If this is true, I am very interested in applying for a plan in my area.

Before I do so, I would like to know if anyone else has any experience in this area. Any particular plan I should look into? Any other info I should know about?

My insurance company wants me to have bridges, which is out of the question as I am only 22 years old. I am NOT destroying more teeth to have bridges put in that will only last 7-10 years, where implants are life-long if I take good care of them. I agree, it is most certainly not cosmetic. Alas, it is not up to me.

I really like to continue my education at american universities but Don’t know how to do it.

Hi, so when I went to the dentist about 2 years ago I was told I had gingivitis, & to improve brushing. So I did what I was told & when I went back to the dentist the last time they said my teeth & gums looked fine, but now I’m about to go back to get some teeth pulled & I’m terrified that they’re gonna say I have periodontal disease. I’m basically just paranoid because I researched it :/. I have no bleeding in my gums & they are not red…what worries me is I just have a little tartar on 2 of my teeth, does this necessarily mean I have periodontal disease?

I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled and was curious about the pain. I’m not getting put under or anything like that,its just not an option for me,I know it’ll hurt after but does it hurt during the actual teeth pulling? One is impacted. Since i’ll be awake would I be able to listen to music on my ipod to distract me from the pain?
