How do you get rid of the pain of a tooth ache?
I hate getting tooth aches, and I get them regularly, like when eating cold foods too fast. Is there any fast, and easy way to get rid of them, and their pain?

How long does it take to become a dentist, some people say 7 years others say 8, and what is the difference between becoming a dentist in 7 years or 8, in other words what does this depend on, also if anybody knows what is the intensity of dental school.
I am really interested in stem cell research and what it does and I may have my wisdom teeth pulled. To help, I want to donate my wisdom teeth which in Japan have been found to have stem cells. I’ve tried google and people have asked the same question but I can’t figure out how to donate. Thanks!
Thee color I ended up with after bleaching and putting a rinse in my hair is WAY to bright and I want to put a darker color on it to bring it out but I dont want to end up with freaky looking hair how long should I wait?
I’m vegan, and all the toothpastes I’ve seen are either made with glycerol, or are vegan and cost like, thirty bucks. I found a vegan toothpaste recipe(just baking soda and cinnamon), and I was wondering, is it okay to use as a regular toothpaste(would it work)? Or should I go for the thirty buck toothpaste? Thanks.
tooth #27 was filled 4 months ago. but now needs a root canal. was told this by my dentist. he warned me previously that this root canal may be needed. was put on antibiotics yesterday and am scheduled for the root canal today. the last root canal he performed on me was tooth #30 5 months ago. that one was infected and he performed the root canal. i was under serious pain for the next few day after. could that infection have influenced tooth #27? and maybe other teeth on that side of my mouth?
I saw a root specialist and found out my general dentist did almost everything wrong= filled one tooth that actually needed a root canal, did a root canal on another tooth that has to be completely redone, and told me I needed a root canal on another tooth which doesn’t hurt me anymore at all.
I am 00 out of pocket for this crap that is now a complete waste.
How often do dentists do refunds for malpractice?
I have paid my entire portion except 0 and the shameless incompetent prick keeps sending me the bill. I have been in pain for THREE MONTHS b/c he cant do his job right. If his root canal success rate was so low, he should have referred me to the specialist before trying to scam someone for thousands of dollars.
I am calling him tomorrow and explaining the situation and if he’s resistant or says no, what can I do?
I can think of a few things, please tell me if you think they are valid, or if I should try something else, thanks much!
- ask for full refund
- if he refuses, ask for partial refund
- get the specialist involved, the specialist said they don’t usually get involved in refund talks but if they want any money from me, they will have to
- threaten him that I will file complaints to the BBB, ADA, CA dental bureau, and give negative reviews on yelp and yahoo local
- ask him "if you go to a restaurant, and the food makes u sick, wouldn’t you expect a refund?"
- say the pain has caused my performance at work to suffer, therefore will file a small claims lawsuit (this is true, and it hurts when I exercise too)
PS: if you can recommend any REPUTABLE QUALIFIED dentists near oakland, ca, please let me know ![]()
thanks again!!
I broke my two front teeth when I was about 8. I got them bonded, and currently have braces. The left one is doing okay but not so much for the right one. The tooth is only about 10-15% real at the top. After multiple abscesses, a root canal, and apicoectomy my dentists have concluded I will lose the tooth. I was so young when it broke that the root was not fully grown and after my braces come off, it will come out. Until then, my braces will hold the crown in. I’m 14 right now, and my braces will probably come off at 15/16. By then my jaw should be matured enough for an implant. So I have a few questions: Do they pull my tooth out and put the implant in at the same time? and if that’s not the case, what do I do between extraction and putting the implant in? Do they give me an alternative, a sort of ‘fake tooth’ ? How long does the whole process take? Healing? etc. Thanks!
How can I prevent gum pain and keep this condition from getting worse, if in fact I do have it???
People are usually scared to see a dentist or orthodontist because getting your teeth cleaned or straightened is an uncomfortable/painful procedure.
and they don’t make a lot of money compared to most doctors.
So why would someone go into these fields?
Who wants to operate on people while they are in discomfort or pain?

My dental coverage only covers 80% of an oral surgery, will a bluecross blue shield PPO health insurance plan cover any of the rest? Or do you know if any health insurance plans cover some of a oral surgery? Thanks:)
