I work for a small company that does not offer dental insurance. I have a terrible toothache and one of my wisdom teeth looks grey.

I am a Vet who served in Iraq and I don’t make much money now. I need to get some good dental coverage.
I have found some dental plans out there, but they are not any good. You pay 0 a month and they only pay 30 to 50% of your bill for any Dental visit. That is BS! They should pay more than that!
Anyway, the VA will only provide Dental benefits to people who are 100% Disabled or those who have military related dental problems. I don’t qualify.
I need an insurance plan that is cheap and affordable and one that will pay more than just a little bit for a Dental visit.
My employer will not provide it either.

Is this legal… my friend goes to this shady dentist who just opened her own practice reacently, her practice consists of her *the dentist* & her one & only stupid receptionist… there is no hygeinist to help with fillings, root canals, ect…
Is this legal?
1) Can she legally work on patients without a hygeinist there to assist them?? is it legal to practice like this?
2) Is it legal to have the receptionist hold the suction during a root canal?
The receptionist, who is VERY VERY dim held the suction during one of my friends fillings/root canal then ran to answer the phone & came back to hold the suction once again. she is not a trained professional, She doesnt even know how to do her receptionist job well, she cant answer any questions & the ones she answeres are wrong! she told me that my teeth would be 22% whiter if I used their nightwhite but what she must have been reading was the percent of bleaching substance in the paste!!

What does an endodontist do that a dentist doesn’t? I heard they mainly do root canals, but don’t dentists do those too?

had a little hole on the front part of a molar and nothing has happened for awhile with it. then after having a few fillings replaced found a big chunk of tooth is missing on the front surface. what can i do until i can see the dentist on monday?

Im getting my braces off wednesday and then im leaving for school on saturday.
If i buy some white strips, can i start using them the day i get my braces off? I want my teeth to look good in time for school.

I had my prep work two weeks ago done and today my new crown is on. Its my second to last molar so its a main tooth to eat with. It is very sensitive when I bite down. I already have forgotten its there until I bite down? How long do I need to be careful for?

Im going to a community college in Dallas Texas at the moment and i would like to know what do i need to do to become a Dental Hygenist or Dentist. As in Basics that i need to take and what schools are good, cheap or expensive, close or far away from Dallas, etc. I heard of Baylor Dentist University at Dallas. How much is it and is it hard to get in? Please give me all the info you could give me.

I went to my dentist to begin a root canal. The first part of the procedure is to fill the tooth with a medicine that kills the nerve. Then I come back next week for the actual root canal. But I am in serious, exclaim-out-loud kind of pain from just the deadening. Is this normal? If so, I can’t imagine how bad the root canal will be!

I’ve found schools that have several of what I’m looking for, but as far as I can tell, not all. Does anyone know if such a school exists? What seems to be the closest so far is Regis University. Any help would be appreciated!

I just recently got my GED & planning on taking a 8 month ROP class for 6 hours a day for Dental Assisting… I was wondering if ROP would be a waste of time, if i should just go to Collage to get my AA or try to make a career now & if dental assisting is a good career. Ok ive been a licensed stylist for a couple of years now and it has been a couple of months since my last class. I would like to be able to find good color and cuting classes other than the ones provided by malys and cosmoprof. Im having a hard time finding some and my salon does not offer in salon education..HELP
