I have been using sensodyne for a long time, almost a year, which is what my dentist suggested. I even use ACT restoring mouth wash. I am still sensitive to sweet things. The dentist says there is no problem, is there anything else that can be done? I am ready to check into dentures, this pain is horrid.

My teeth are eroding from vomiting. Is there a way I can get free/discounted dental care? I’m wondering if perhaps there is an organization or program within the American Cancer Association. Also, any suggestions for keeping this from happening? The erosion, not the vomiting, thats just going to happen either way.

I’m 13 and have braces on. I also have mild gingivitis. How can I get rid of it?

Would a waterpik or electric toothbrush help? Is it common to have gingivitis with braces on?

Thanks.

I was wanting to know what men think about a woman that is in her mid 20s that has dentures or partial dentures. Please be honest with me.
She has to have them because she has a disease in her gums that can not be reversed.

Where can i get a tooth guard?

I have a habit of clenching my teeth together, and grinding them, i often wake up at night with them closed firmly together and i’m worried about them chipping or hurting, what would you suggest i do?, get a tooth guard from a dentist, or is there anyway i can get one quicker by purchasing them from a store?, if so which stores in the UK sell them?

Thank you.

I’m active duty military and I’ve been thinking about getting out. However, I’m wondering how much of my health/dental insurance factors into my overall salary. I’m trying to put a dollar value to it before I look for a civilian job. I have no health problems and I’m 25 years old.

Teeth whitening?

Any over the counter or home remedies you can recommend for whitening teeth? Going to the dentist is too expensive an option.

I’m either going to make a Lemon Cake or a Yellow/White Cake and I’m looking for ideas of fillings to use. Maybe ice creams that seem like they would be good matches or some other good fillings? Thanks!

Would you make more money opening a dental practice by yourself or in a group? Or does it depend?

I know that opening a dental practice in groups you would split the rent so you pay less yourself, or allow you to buy an expensive place for the practice in a very good location.

Say an orthodontist opens a practice with other dentists that are NOT orthodontists, does the orthodontist obviously make more than the dentists(since they make the most and from the patients that just need orthodontics from them), or does every dentist have to share their pay and have an equal amount since they all own the place?

Personally I think they all should earn from whatever patients require from them(ortho, endo, prostho, etc.) and how good they are at it lol.

I do not have health insurance, or dental, right now because my husband and I are self-employed. I do not qualify for medicaid. I have a wisdom tooth that is very painful and infected and I need it removed very soon. I’m on antibiotics right now to clear up the infection, but I cannot afford the out-of-pocket cost for the surgery to remove it. What are my best options? A discount dental plan, for example… I need some good ideas of what I could do to find assistance in paying for the surgery to remove it.

I had a motorcycle accident 6 years ago which caused my upper front gum to break and bend backward towards my mouth. My two front teeth did not fall off, so the dentist pulled my teeth and gum back to the front and did root canal treatment to both of my upper front teeth. My teeth are supposed to be dead after that with no root canals, but one of them now has turned grayish in color (half of the tooth). I’m thinking of tooth crowning, but I’m worried that it might fall off, since they
were fragile after the accident. What is the best treatment for me?

i have relatively straight teeth the top an bottom left ‘fang’ stick out over the top of the ones next to it, but that is not why i need braces. my jaw is crocked and shifts to the left when i open it and braces can correct the without surgery. (according to the orthodontist i visited)
so the question is, if she didn’t mention anything about removing teeth, will it be needed?
also…i was told i needed a crown, will the braces "work" on the crown or will it get damaged?
the crown is suppose to be on the second to the last back molar.

cosmetic dentist?

I need a lot of work done in my mouth.. but i fear i will just have to keep getting teeth pulled until i have none left.. do you think a cosmetic dentist would be able to help me to keep my teeth? Would just getting them all filed down and getting veneers help me to save my teeth? if i did that would i still need to have root canals and crowns put on?

Dentistry!

ok so i am planning to pursue dentistry in college. i want to know what classes am i required to take to make it in?

So I’m 12, and I have lost most of my teeth. I thought that I lost all of them until last week when I found one to be loose. I always wiggle my teeth as a habit, so I’m nit sure whether or not this is a permanent tooth. I think I may have caused it to be loose by pushing on it too much. Are there anyways to tell whether a tooth is a baby tooth or permanent tooth besides size? (I have nothing to compare it to.) Thank you to anyone that answers. Merry Christmas!
