could i own my own practice just cleaning teeth. i was thinking i could just refer my clients to a dentist if they needed anything more serious than a cleaning.i live in a rather rural area and the nearest dentist is 45 mins or more away. i was thinking i could use the fact that it is rural area and call it a kind of dental clinic.

The fee will depend on how simple or how complicated the procedure will actually be, depending on several factors.  How many teeth will be extracted and if they are impacted.  The more impacted they are, the more surgery is required.  Some dental plans or dental insurance covers these procedures, but that is something you will have to investigate as well.

I am a year 11 student living in Australia and am aspiring to be apart of this industry, i was wondering though, how do you get into it? can you go to university or what?

I went to my regular dentist for a check up and he said I have 5 cavities that need to be filled and then he gives me a bill for a 00 dollars to fill them. SO a few days later I thought to myself there is no way I have 5 cavities, I brush my teeth 2 times a day sometimes 3 times. So I went to a different dentist that I had to pay out of pocket for just an exam to look at my teeth, he said I had no cavities and that my teeth were good. I have papers from both places showing the results of the exams. So can I sue my dentist fore laying to me that I had cavities??

How are the dentists doing in Canada during this economy?

I brushed my teeth this morning and while i was trying to spit out, I swallowed water and toothpaste mixed together. Can I die? Im kinda scared right now!

I am a junior who has a GPA of 3.0.
Since my GPA is low for dental schools, I am looking for something to add on my resume.
What I’m planning to do is to take an year off and apply for a dental assistant program provided by a community college nearby.
I’d like an honest opinion from those who has some knowledge about dentistry if doing so would help me getting into dental schools.
