Is it wrong to ask my dentist about careers?
I am planning to have a new life and at the same time have a career that I can be proud of. I’ve been working at a retail store for four years with an AA diploma and yet I don’t get enough respect. If you are my dentist, would you just recommend me at a school? The dental schools here are 2 hours away from my house or are there dentist that does apprenticeship? I’m 21 years old.

No you can’t do an apprenticeship. It isn’t a trade job it is a college PhD job to become a dentist. A dentist is a doctor of the dental field. He had to go to a 4 year college then a dental college to become a dentist. He probably worked on cadavers (dead people) in dental school and took many science courses.
You don’t sound like someone who really wants to become a dentist or someone that will be successful in the field. I suggest you go back to a community college and look into other careers there. Talk to a college advisor. Don’t ask your dentist for a recommendation because clearly you are not ready for a science related major.
No, I dont think it’s wrong at all. It’s good to ask for advice and help from your dentist. If they are really friendly overall like most dentists are, they will be helpful
