Can the dentist take out some molars to make space instead of getting braces?
I have been telling my 7 yr old daughter’s dentist for almost a year that she has space problems, and he wouldn’t listen. Now he’s telling me that its mandatory she have braces or her adult teeth wont be able to come through and will cause cysts under the gum. Isn’t there a way of removing some of the back teeth and then her teeth will straighten out. Mine did!! I don’t see why her dentist wont do it.

I don’t know. That seems risky. I would just get a second opinion.
Everyone’s jaw size and tooth size are different.
You don’t want to be extracting teeth that are fine in order to straighten others unless there has been a comprehensive exam by an orthodontist–the orthodontist is the one who determines whether there is enough space or not.
