Dental insurance sucks. What you can do is tell the office you want to have some done this year and some next year. Call your ins to see what your maximum is and also see when your ins starts over(usually Jan 1st)This way, you will get to use your ins for this year and then use next years as well. Do not waitm though, if your children need the work done now.
Medical and dental insurance out of pocket expense depends on the provider, the type of plan (family or individual), deductible and the copay amount which you, the insured is required to pay. You may be able to talk with the doctor and ask whether they will accept a lesser amount or get on a payment plan.
