Calif. This debt as outlined in the Court Ordered Marriage Settlement Agreement is the sole responcibility of the Ex wife to pay. The debt is for for Dental Services performed on a minor child. The Father is ordered to provide and is providing full medical and dental coverage on his child until the Child finishes college. The monthly out of pocket exspense, after his employer conttribution is 0.00. Which was levied, by DCHS. The mother is to pay any non covered expense. With no regard to the dental plan and the participating provider network, the mother chose to take him to a non participating Dentist The father did not find out til after the fact, when he recieved a bill from the dentist for 0.00. The plan requires pre authorization. Delta Dental did pay $ 680.00 to a non participating provider, leaving a balance of 0.00 which the mother refused to pay and provided all personal info to Dentist, which now turned it over to a Collection Agency. This is 1 of many issues.

My friend has had some really bad tooth aches lately. He had a crown and it fell out. Now he needs his tooth taken out but has no insurance. How does he go about getting emergency dental coverage thru the state (MI)?

I have a health insurance plan with work but can’ t seem to get the dental coverage as there aren’t others willing to take it. I need to get some. How in the midwest can I get seperate dental insurance? NOT dental plans that pay a part of it but aren’t insurance as I need the insurance. Those often have a waiting time and only pay a small part the first year of it. I have soft enamel teeth and need ongoing or repeat dentist visits to keep the teeth later on. I did an online search and they want a ton of info to send a quote just or they don’t offer an actual insurance coverage. IF anyone has a great coverage that is nationwide please let me know. I have a dire need for this.
By others not taking it , I meant other coworkers to make me eligible for then. I have to have more people to apply.
Please note that I am seeking actual insurance for this> I specify as I see a link for the dental plans and that is not the same and not adequate coverage. I had this and paid more than I got back.
I seem to see by my question there really doesn’t seem to be any adequate way to get dental insurance without having full health coverage. It is sad in a country full of opportunity that dental insurance plans don’t seem to exist by themself now. I guess if nothing else I see that just doesn’t seem to exist sadly.

Serious, I used to think that insurance companies are the caused of driving up the health care cost because I keep seeing higher premiums in my coverage. But now I have learned that the freaking doctors/dentists/optometrists are the ones squeezing our necks for money without we even knowing. Here are examples: I got my 2 wisdom teeth taken out 1.5 years ago, and the dentist charged my insurance 00 (00 each) and I paid deductible. Two months ago, my gf had 2 wisdom teeth taken out too, but she doesn’t have dental coverage, she paid by check, and the dentist charges her 0 each, total of 00. I was like… wth… and the dentist told us that because we dont have insurance, they’ll charge us less….This all makes sense now, since if they charges us 00 each tooth, how the hell can we pay it out from pocket, only the insurance companycan. So basically, the doctorswill be very happy to see if you have insurance coverage. How do I report to insurance company on this?
i made a typo, it should be ,800, not ,800.
"Don’t be too quick to complain…

Your girlfriend probably got a ‘courtesy discount’ because she doesn’t have insurance… we do that, too."

Exactly! If you can just charge the same amount to insurance company, the cost wouldn’t be so high. Usually insurance benefits state that they will pay after deductible, or about 80% coinssurance (you pay 20%). So doing the math, the main factor driven up the cost is the doctors/dentists charging too much. They already gained profit from charging lower amount in cash, yet, making it triple in charging the insurance.

A friend of mine doesn’t have dental coverage at the moment and he needs to see a dentist right away. He has an infection/abcess and he’s in a lot of pain. Is there something like an ER for dental emergencies?

–Nashville, TN

I don’t know what to do. I can afford dental coverage and I already called the office where the procedures will take place. They said they take Anthem.

So I don’t know if I should go ahead and purchase the Anthem Dental now or wait till I go to the dentist again and get info. from them. Anthem has many different versions of dental and I’m clueless and don’t know what to do.

Where do we as Iraq war veterans turn to when we need dental care? I have no money, work very little and have a young daughter to support. The Department of Veterans Affairs offers us no dental coverage as a disabled veteran because I am not 100% disabled. I can’t afford to pay out of pocket and have done my research and it seems that this is a problem that people care very little about. I have an abcess and a decayed toothe that needs to be pulled what do I do? Please anyone I am in desperate need of some answers.
