i am either gonna have to get a bridge and have two perfect teeth filed down or get a dental implant. my dentist will let me make payments on the bridge cause i have been a long time patient and paid off many expensive procedures. however he doesn’t do dental implants. no other dentist that doesn’t know me is gonna let me make payments. my credit is non existent, ive applied for dental financing before and been refused. so… i can finance my bridge or i can pay cash for an implant. i want the implant. isn’t there a dental school that would like someone to practice on or some way for me to get the implant for a reasonable price. is there any highly recommended cosmetic dentist overseas or in mexico? any ideas? ive heard i could dental implant in another town here in ky for 00 then the other day i heard an advertisement for something called mini implants starting at 0. any information you could offer would be greatly appreciated

I got my dental implants done roughly one month ago, but it I only had the stage 1 done.
I’m suppose to let it heal for a good 3-4 months before i go back and get the implant screwed in, but I keep smoking cigarettes. I know this isn’t bad for you.. but does anyone have any experience with this?
I didnt smoke the first week and a half, but I started smoking again after that and I cannot stop.
It doesn’t look infected or anything..

My gums have begun to recede and you can see the metal from my dental implants. So I’m having surgery to restore my gums…. will it hurt worse than the implants did? And can anyone recommend a toothpaste and rinse that is VERY gum friendly? Right now I just use a regular old school toothbrush and Listerine. My dentists suggests I invest in one of those sonic electric toothbrushes… which one is best?

My brother currently wears dentures — full uppers & lowers. He wants something more durable, with more biting power if you will. I suggested dental implants, but I have heard that the cost is quite expensive. What can he expect to pay to get a full mouth of dental implants? And, are there any other alternatives to dentures that he may want to explore?

I posted a question earlier but nobody answered so, hopefully I get one now. I’m thinkin’ ’bout gettin’ dental implants. First thing first, I have no upper teeth right now, haven’t in 4 months. I do have dentures but they were mad poorly ‘n my dentist refuses to fix ‘em ‘n my insurance will not pay to have another made so my last place to try is thru a cosmetic surgen here in WI ‘n I’m doin’ it cuz I can get patient financin’. So, wit that said, if my teeth have been removed for 4 months would it still b a long process or a simple step? Please, please help.

Hello, I am a medical assistant and I know all about navigating through loop holes in medical insurance. However, I am clueless when it comes to dental insurance, although I figure they must be similar.
Anyway, my question is this: Does anyone know how to get around an insurance company to get dental implants covered? I was born with 5 missing adult teeth (the adult teeth just never grew in after I lost my baby teeth). One of my bottom front teeth went unnoticed and is now a lost cause. However, 4 of my molars have been gone since they were surgically removed in 2001 (the bottom two were fused to my jaw and the top two were dead but stuck between two adjacent teeth). I have had to wear retainers since 2001 to keep the spaces between my teeth until I could get implants. When I went for a consult a couple years ago, my insurance told me they would not cover any of it, as it was considered "cosmetic." Now, I am about to receive dental insurance again, and want to know what I can do/say to get this covered; I cannot wear retainers my whole life, bridges are out of the question, and if I don’t get this taken care of, I have been told my teeth will "fall in, then fall out."
Help!

I lost my two front teeth in a bicycle accident when I was 13 years old. Dentists tried to recreate them by using bonding agent but it was only temporary. I’m 19 years old now and my front teeth have been exposed to corrosion over the years, making them look terrible. I refuse to smile and I cover my mouth when I laugh. I’m thinking that since I’m an adult and my mouth should stop growing, dental implants are a good idea. If I am to do this, what would the cost be and how quickly can I smile again?
Thank you.

im only 21 years young, yet i have bad gum problems. i need dental implants on two of my lower front tooth and one on the upper back. as a young social teenager, i would be horrified to be walking around with missing teeth. so does anyone know how long it will take from the time the decaying tooth is pulled out to the time of a new artificial tooth? ive heard about 1 day implants. is that possible for everyone? are there artificial dentures that can be worn over the spot of the missing tooth until the gums have healed?
