Hello:)
I am going to graduate in June and have to start looking for schools now! I am interested in Public Relations, Web Design, Graphic Design and well.. just all sorts of things. I came across the NYU website and was reading all of the different things that they offered in the "Continuing Education" section. I was originally planning to go for a Bachelors Degree in Writing or something but after speaking with family and others I decided that I didn’t want to limit myself and would take a few certificate programs that I thought would work well together. Now for my questions!..
The continuing education programs offered in NYU. Do you need to have previous training of some sort? Or a degree or just something other than a High School Diploma? Also, do you receive a certificate at the completion of the courses you selected? For example, I was viewing a page on Public Relations. It has many things to choose but you have to take "two required courses" "1 PR writing course" and "2 electives." and for just those 5 things alone it said "Build My Certificate" and brought you to the following page which showed schedules and things.. Is that ALL you need to get a certificate? It seems almost too good to be true!
Has anyone taken courses in the Continuing Education program? Can you provide feedback on your experience?
Lastly, is it quite difficult to get into these programs since its NYU?
I will probably call the school within the next few weeks but I just wondered if anyone on here could help me out.
Thanks ahead.
