I am a new comer in the US and I am going to continue my education in an american university, but first of all I need to update my information in american reference.( and in english )
I need to know what kind of books are the references for these courses.
My BS is Civil engineering.

1- Static 2-strength of materials 3- Structures analyze 4- steel structures 5- concrete structures
6- general mathematics 7- general an engineering geometry.

Please tell me the name of books and author(s).

I’m starting HS in the fall and I’ve been planning my classes. I’m gonna have to take Algebra 1 next year because my school didn’t teach it in 8th grade. So, I was wondering if I could take classes online or somewhere else the summer after 9th grade to take Geometry, and a few other classes. I live in Philadelphia, and go to public school there, if that helps.

so im a sophomore in highschool and unfortunatley, due to my own lazyness in jr high, am a year behind in math. in 7th grade i was in pre algebra A while other kids were in pre algebra B…so this year everyone, regardless of what math they had before, is in geometry…but next year the kids that are ahead of me will go to pre calc and i will be stuck behind, again, in algebra 2…so i want to take algebra 2 at a college this summer or maybe even this semester and since i dont have my liscense yet i was thinking it would be better and easier jst to take it online…i dont think i would have any trouble with the course because ive never gotten a B in any of my math classes and recently got 100% on a geometry midterm so i think i would be ok to take the class online, i also want to take chemestry this summer but it will probably be harder so i want to go to an actual campus for that.
but anyway, sorry i rambeled :(, i was jst wondering if anyone could tell me a little bit about taking classes online: whats it like? how was your experience with it? would you recomend it? is there a difference in cost? sry but as a sophomore in highschool im jst abt cluless as far as college courses, let alone online courses lol..thnx to all who answer! o and its impt that i get into pre calc nxt year because then i will b able to take ap calc as a sr..and that would be good for my GPA…right now im number one in my class but tied with several others, and all that will change next year when students take weighted AP classes and can have a higher than 4.0 GPA
