Pregnancy vs. More Education?

I just finished school for my certificate in veterinary assisting and my husband and I have been discussing having a child here in the near future. I’ve come to a lot of realizations while on my internship and need a little guidance as to what to do with my next move.

I’d like to try to conceive within the next couple months and continue working at my stable customer service job then take some time off to raise the child. I could be continuing my education online to get my CVT and stay at home with my child then, so once I am back out in the field, I can go farther than just cleaning kennels.

Or should I continue working at a vet clinic, build a solid position then get pregnant a year or so down the line? I’d hate to do that then tell my boss I can’t do half my job duties (x-rays, anesthetic monitoring, etc) then possibly lose my position once I’m out in the field again after giving birth.

I’m just looking for some advice… any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Let me add…With my current job, I have amazing health insurance. If I leave it and go into the veterinary industry, health insurance isn’t always offered or it’s incredibly cheap/worthless.

Veneers covered by dental insurance?

I would like to know if veneers could be covered fully under dental insurance. I know veneers are usually not covered as they are primarily cosmetic, but because I am young and do not want to lose the tooth structure by getting porcelain crowns [root canals are done on teeth before getting crowns] I would really like to get veneers instead. I would have to have them maintained every decade or so, and because I’m only 18, I’m afraid to get crowns as they are MUCH harder to replace.
I have a genetic condition called Amelogenesis Imperfecta. I have had composite veneer on my teeth to give them enough surface area for orthodontic brackets, and I have had braces for a year and a half. My ortho brought up two teeth that never came in and has moved my teeth in proper placement for the veneers to now be done. I always assumed, even though it’s genetic and is not my fault, that my dental reconstruction would be at my expense.
I don’t have dental insurance right now, so I’m also curious if I could even get it now, being in the middle of my treatment of a genetic condition. Wouldn’t that be like a cancer patient applying for health insurance after they are diagnosed with cancer? Or is dental insurance different?

I recently lost my job. I would like a separate dental insurance plan besides my basic health insurance. I wonder if anyone else is feeling the pain like me. Any suggestions?

Cosmetic Denstistry In Singapore?

I am in some desperate need of work on my teeth; some gum surgery, veneers, whitening, wisdom tooth extraction, and maybe even more. U.S. dentists will charge ,000+ plus for the work I need, which is a little too high for me right now.
- So I plan on traveling overseas for dental work, and Singapore seems to be the safest place to get it done, with the highest standards of quality (Over Hungary and Thailand).
- Has any one every had work done in Singapore, and if so where?
- The most important thing for me right now is the cost. I think my budget is around ,000, and I am hoping my U.S. health insurance plan will cover some of it, though I do not know what is accepted in Singapore.
- I have been looking at;
National University Hospital http://www.nuh.com.sg/ourServices/dentalServices/restorativeDentistry/restorativeDenstistry.htm

Specialist Dental Group: Henry Lee Dental Group
http://www.specialistdentalgroup.com/international_patients.php

and The Dental Studio
http://www.dentalstudio.sg/clinic_director.html

- Has anybody had experience with those clinics? If so, how much and how long were you there for (I only havfe a one week time frame)

- I am pretty set on Singapore, but if any one else has experience elsewhere with cosmetic dentistry, that is not too expensive, please leave your comments (Maybe Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Hungary, France, Korea, or Belgium)

.. THANK YOU SO MUCH ..

I’ll try to make this short. I’m 22. No health insurance. Haven’t seen a dentist in about five years. Just recently went to a dental school to have a student clean my teeth. They did x-rays and told me I have periodontal disease. I have some pockets 5mm or deeper. It’s mostly 3-5mms pockets but I also have one 6mm and one 8mm pocket. I didn’t really know what all that meant until I went home and googled it. After spending hours researching the disease. I feel like I have died inside. I don’t want to lose my teeth. I am so devastated right now. I am going to make an appointment tomorrow first thing. Do you think the dentist will be able to do anything?

The dental insurance is the most important right now, but I am also in the market for health and vision as well. If there is a way that I can get all 3 for 0 or less a month, that would be great!
As far as the health insurance, a 00 or less deductible, or less co-pay, must include prescription drug benefit 0 deductible, and yearly female exam.
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

I have a health insurance plan with work but can’ t seem to get the dental coverage as there aren’t others willing to take it. I need to get some. How in the midwest can I get seperate dental insurance? NOT dental plans that pay a part of it but aren’t insurance as I need the insurance. Those often have a waiting time and only pay a small part the first year of it. I have soft enamel teeth and need ongoing or repeat dentist visits to keep the teeth later on. I did an online search and they want a ton of info to send a quote just or they don’t offer an actual insurance coverage. IF anyone has a great coverage that is nationwide please let me know. I have a dire need for this.
By others not taking it , I meant other coworkers to make me eligible for then. I have to have more people to apply.
Please note that I am seeking actual insurance for this> I specify as I see a link for the dental plans and that is not the same and not adequate coverage. I had this and paid more than I got back.
I seem to see by my question there really doesn’t seem to be any adequate way to get dental insurance without having full health coverage. It is sad in a country full of opportunity that dental insurance plans don’t seem to exist by themself now. I guess if nothing else I see that just doesn’t seem to exist sadly.
