Ok I am a senior in High School I want to get some online credits and get some astronomy courses out of the way before college.
Please let me know some website or some college that gives online course to High School Students
Many high schools have AP programs and such that offer college credit, or they make deals with local colleges and offer classes at them and give credit for it. However, what I’m wondering is if there are any colleges or universities that offer courses to high school students that are "independent" from the high school you are attending. I hope you understand what I mean. I understand they’d still want to know grades and stuff probably, but I’m an advanced student, looking for possibilities for college. I would love to get college classes or credits or even just the work, but even though my school has AP programs and deals with local colleges, I would love to be able to sign up for a separate course. I don’t need high school in addition to any college credit. Just a college course or two I could do even though I’m in high school still. I’m in the St. Louis area (MO), but are there any online courses? I’ve read several articles on this, but none were specific. They mentioned students in one or two systems doing online coursework, or just talking about a general increase in high school students doing college work. Mentions of what I’m talking about, but no real results as to options.
Hope that made sense, and thanks. I’m very serious about college. I was going to go to an early-entrance college (live in high school type deal) but I moved and was unable to do that, so now I’m looking into other options for getting as much college experience and courses and credits as I can.
this is starting to make me mad. im a 10th grader and i want to start taking online courses to earn college credit and every where i go i see that they require the high school diploma or the GED well seeing im in 10th grade i dont have the diploma and i dont see why i should take the GED w since i plan on finishing high school ….. can anyone help with me with finding a college that will take high school students to advance their learing as well as earn them college credit ?
Im already in Ap classes

My prospects for even getting one English class to teach are looking grim (I live in a rural city with one community college, and teachers are fighting like vultures for the classes). I only have an M.A, so I’m fish carp when it comes to getting classes.
I’ve heard that there are plenty of online classes to teach. What websites or colleges hire for Fall? What experiences have you had with them? Do they really give you classes and decent (at least poverty) pay? What about online tutoring for middle/high school students? I’m open to anything.
I’m just another starving adjunct:)
Or maybe some of you know bigger cities where I can at least be a freeway flier. How about Houston or Arizona? I think I have to move at this point.
Thanks very much, Stimpson Cat, for the Korean suggestion. However, I spent two years there (hence the Kimchi name:) and for personal reasons, I need to remain in the U.S. Also, I had some VERY bad experiences with Korean employers there. Love the country though, but alot of the work there is a scam.

I am a certified teacher and would like to teach online classes to high school students who are being homeschooled as well as electives to smaller rural high schools who are not able to offer much more than the basics. I really need to find out about available software.
I know that some colleges offer high school students to take their courses. I do not like my high schools languages, can I take an online course for the language I want? Because foreign language is a requirement at my school. Here’s the thing, I’m a freshman and want to start taking a language class by the 10th grade. Ex. University of Phoenix Online Education
