Continuing Education Classes for those in the Dental Profession

I have no insurance and no money. I need to go to a oral surgeon and get an extraction. so much pain. is there payment plans or discounts available? do people who have teeth problems and no insurance just suffer through the pain?
I am 20.My dental health was never taken care of properly when i was young. I have some dental insurance but nothing that covers orthodontists or cosmetic procedures.I cannot afford good dental insurance. I have a "mutilated bite" one dentists told me. I have over crowded teeth and like a criss cross bite. My gums hurt me, I also have TMJ. Not only is my mouth painful, I am very self conscious about it. My teeth chip easily. I was wondering if there are any orthodontists or anyone that does cosmetic dentistry that do pro bono work or work for reduced price.I’d even pay installments, Is there anyone that can help me. or point me in the right direction. My teeth are only getting worse and i fear i will never have the lump some of money to get them taken care of.

I went to see the Dentist on a emergency about 9 months ago. I ask the dentist if they except the insurance I had which was Delta Dental and they said they sure did. I ask them if they were premier or advantage They told me the cheaper one which ever one that would be. To make a long story short they told me the insurance reimburstment takes a little time but I would have to go ahead and pay my copays and that is it! So after all is said and done and 800 dollars in hole I finally have my teeth fixed. So when the days is over the called me about 3 months ago and told me I still owe 180 dollars I was like what you guys told me I had payed everything I had owe! So I was like what ever I don’t have the money to pay you now, I will give you the credit card and I can pay your in about 2 weeks! Well I guess my card didn’t go through they called but I said I couldn’t pay them now, sorry So without calling me they billed my credit card for 180 2 months after I gave them the info is the legal?

IM CURRENTLY IN SCHOOL TO BECOME A SURG. TECH BUT IN THE MEAN TIME I NEED A JOB TO PAY THE BILLS. MY SCHOOL OFFERS A CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE WHICH OFFERS A 4 WEEK CNA PROGRAM. SHOULD I QUIT MY RETAIL JOB TO DO IT OR WOULD I BE BETTER OFF WORKING IN RETAIL UNTIL I FINISH SCHOOL..I REALLY HATE MY JOB I ONLY MAKE 7.75 AND THAT’S ONLY ENOUGH TO PAY THE BILLS AND THEY WORK US LIKE CRAZY….I DON’T HAVE ANY KIDS SO THERE’S NOTHING HOLDING ME BACK……WHAT SHOULD I DO IN THESE HARD TIMES…….I WANT TO HAVE MONEY FOR MYSELF AND FOR BILLS WHICH IS ONLY ABOUT 0 A MONTH BECAUSE MY BOYFRIEND PAYS THE RENT AND I ALSO WANT A JOB THAT I ENJOY AND I ENJOY HELPING, AND INTERACTING WITH PEOPLE.
If I wanted to save some money and make homemade toothpaste, what is the recipe for… Oh, say, one tube, and how much would it cost?
I have this black spot on my gum above one of my tooth and my gums seem to be pulling away from a few of my teeth, and my gums used to bleed often but not anymore but other than that theres no pain
no health insurance is this gonna cost a lot of money? If it’s Periodontal disease
I went in to the dental office knowing I had a lot of cavities needing to be filled and maybe even a root canal and so I said to them that My JAW was broken years ago and I have 3 plates , so they know and they took x rays and said I had 8 cavities to fill and they were on the right side, and possilbly 1 of them was a root canal , now they did the work and I told the lady that If it looks at all Like a root canal they lets do the root canal and so she did the work and only did the cavities, now I cant chew on the right side of my mouth cause I feel every little thing and so I went back and they put me with another dentist in the same office under the same owner and that dentist said I have to go to a specialist cause my root is curved , now shouldn’t they have said that before they did anywork because if they would have I would have gone to the specialist in the first place, they charged me so they could make money and now I have to go and pay even more to see a specialist when I could have paid that if I wouldn’t have gone to the dopes who messed my tooth up! Whats my recourse for this kind of MALPRACTICE and can I DO IT MYSELF ! I IM not rich and still need them to fix what they screwed up PLEASE HELP ME DUE I SUE LOL !!!!
didnt get a root canal yet, thats why Im trying to find out if because they didnt do the root canal , when they should have or at least told me they couldnt do it when they started the cavities! the point im trying to find out is when I first went in the dentist said it looks like I need a root canal then didnt do the work ! Tried to say it was ok with just a filling !! then when I went back the next dentist in the same office said no, looks like I need to go to a specialist ! They never did a root canal ! thats the point ! if they would have at least attempted it , it would look better on their part but they didn’t and the dentist said I may need it! when they took ex- rays the other dentist could tell from the x-rays that I needed a specialist before ever looking at my teeth! So my only conclusion was the other dentist knew she couldnt do the work ( root canal) and still did the work with just fillings , she should have never touched my mouth if she could go all the way thanks
I’ll be honest, I haven’t really taken great care of my teeth my entire life up until recently. Two weeks ago I went to the emergency dental place in my city to have my wisdom teeth looked at. They did x-rays and I had all 4 pulled the next day. I had to go to this dental place because I don’t have any money to see a regular dentist.
They didn’t seem thorough at all. All the dentist did was look at my teeth and said I had no cavities. She said she wasn’t sure about in between my teeth though, and didn’t comment on my gum’s.
I really think there is something wrong with my gum’s though. I’ve noticed that my bottom fangs are almost as big as my top teeth. My bottom teeth are all also very long. I bleed sometimes when I brush/floss but not all of the time. My gum’s also seem to be kinda white at the top of them. I do not have any pain and I do not think any of my teeth are loose.
Some of my teeth also have small rough spots at the edge of the gum’s kinda like lines. They are small and are the same color as my teeth. I also have no spaces in between my teeth, as they are actually kinda crowded. I need braces… I wish I could show you what I mean but I do not have a camera.
I’m 18 years old and I will be 19 in June, is this likely to be periodontal disease? Or are my bottom teeth just big? I don’t want to loose my teeth.
- I’ve heard if I go to the college/university’s to get my teeth checked it will be really cheap. How long should I wait to go though? I still have a open gum from the wisdom teeth extraction, but it doesn’t bleed or anything.
-My parents keep insisting that my bottom teeth have always been long my entire life, but I’m not sure. Is it possible?
When I went to the emergency dental place wouldn’t they have commented if they thought there was something wrong?
My finance had some dental work done that the dentist completely screwed up. (A procedure that she was originally told was going to take 3 weeks is now in its 7th month, and we’re making an emergency trip to another dentist this afternoon because something just broke.)
I want to explore legal actions against her original dentist because of all the lost wages, time, and emotional & physical suffering she’s experienced as a result of this — not to mention the additional money that is coming out of our pockets to fix what he screwed up.
However, I’m wondering if the dentist has actually committed "malpractice" or if he just didn’t really know what he was doing. Is there a difference between the two? What is the legal definition for medical malpractice? Is there a certain "threshold" that needs to be met? (This is taking place in Maryland, by the way.)
