My new dentist said that my bite was slightly mis-aligned and he referred me to an orthodontist. I had braces about 13 years ago and still wear my retainers at night. However, I didn’t really wear them 24 hours a day for the first six months after I got my braces off. My teeth are really straight, but my back teeth don’t touch when I bite down because the bone shifted. I’m anticipating hearing what the orthodontist is going to say and was wondering if anyone has any idea what he might do and how much it will cost?

It’s in my lower back left teeth. What should I do? My insurance will be activated in 2 months, (six months, but it’s already been 4 months since I got my job). What should I do? I don’t want to lose my teeth. My parents said they will not pay for it because it’s too expensive.

I’m fifteen and had braces for about 4 years. Thanks to my mom I was born with out one of my top teeth one over from the front one… I have a retainer with a tooth in it, I’ve had my braces off for almost 3 years and this summer is suppose to be "THE" summer that I get an implant. I’m not so thrilled. I just decided to read up on it and it says after they put the metal thing in your jaw it has to heal for 3-6 MONTHS. I can tell you right now, IM NOT LEAVING MY HOUSE with a metal rod for a tooth. fack that ked. I’ll live with this retainer for life, hell I’ll buy a six new ones. Do they put some kind of fake tooth over the rod, or am I just going to go through hell of pain and them embarrassment of smiling or opening my mouth for six months?
(My retainer hasn’t left my mouth for more then five minutes while brushing my teeth, it’s a big deal to me.)

Problems with Delta USA (dental insurance)?

I am on my second year using this company. I got a root canal done on an abscessed tooth last year, about six months after I had enrolled, and had a crown put on it, and they refused to pay the dentist for it because it was a "pre-existing condition" when I signed up (for reference, the tooth had a cavity, but was not abscessed, when I enrolled). The dentist was very generous, and did not ask for me to pay the difference, but was not able to treat me anymore. I switched to another dentist, and it is about six months into my second year with Delta (continuously enrolled), and about three weeks ago, I had a root canal done on another tooth, which had some decay at the point when my first dentist looked at it a year ago, but was not even a cavity yet. I had a wisdom tooth extracted yesterday by a dental surgeon at the same office on Friday, and when I got home, there was a letter waiting for me from Delta, saying that they would not be paying my present dentist for the root canal, since there was evidence of decay reported by my previous dentist, and that these records had been passed on to my present dentist before they did the root canal procedure. Is this even legal? There was no way the tooth for which I received the most recent root canal was in any state of "pre-existing condition" when I initially signed up with Delta. Moreover, I waited to have the crown put on until I got the wisdom tooth extracted, and now I’m worried that the dentist will either refuse to finish the crown, or will do it, but that neither he nor the surgeon will get reimbursed for any of their work by Delta. Should I worry about Delta calling my wisdom tooth a "pre-existing condition" as well?

My son is 6 1/2, and lost all four of his front top teeth at various times, but all within a couple of months of each other. It is now about six months later, and I see no sign of the new ones coming in. Is this normal?

He’s my 3rd child, but I can’t remember how long the others took. Thanks!

My dentist wants me to spend thousands of dollars on six crowns and one implant. He wants me to save money to do one per year and won’t listen to my excuses that I can’t save that much money that fast. Since they are considered cosmetic procedures, my dental insurance doesn’t cover any of it. He keeps "bugging" me about it every six months I get my teeth cleaned.

My 8 year old son lost his tooth about six months ago and still his adult tooth ain;t even showing. I am really starting to get worried…

He does has his cleaning check up coming up in July and will have x-rays done.

Does anyone else have experienced a long delay in the adult’s teeth coming through?
