I have just had braces installed and we have bought different toothpaste than we normally do (Enamel Care by Arm and Hammer) and have bought fluoride mouthwash. I’m just wondering whether it is good to use the mouthwash straight after I brush my teeth cause it will wash away the good toothpaste protein or whatever it is that’s good. Should I try and just use the mouthwash after meals and use the toothpaste in morning and night? Thanks in advance.

Hello all and thanks in advance for your answers. I am currently working at the corporate office for a large health care company as a physical security professional. My main job function is the complete operation of the company’s physical access control system and alarm systems for the home office as well as numerous remote locations and subsidiaries across the nation. A majority of my work experience is in the physical security industry and any knowledge of access control systems or alarm systems has been picked up by looking over vendor’s shoulders and limited onsite training by vendor staff. I am not unfamiliar with computers, picking up some knowledge here and there, but I know enough to know that I don’t know enough.

In a field where “convergence” seems to be the word of the day and security systems are getting more technically advanced, my goal would be to improve my knowledge of the IT industry and how it relates to physical security systems in order to advance my career. The only problem is I am not really sure where to begin with selecting classes, certifications, or tech schools vs. college.

I would like to specifically focus on IP related topics, networking, SQL, database maintenance, IT security, and anything I might be missing (if anyone has any suggestions). As I said I know enough to know I don’t know enough. Most of my focuses are words or situations that have arisen as I have been working but I could not tell you what most of them mean or how they work, I know they just do and if not I call the helpdesk or vendor.

I would also like to obtain more knowledge pertaining to the installation of security systems though this is probably more of an electrical industry topic but it also includes database construction.

I do have a limited schedule so I am basically looking at just taking classes specific to my job function vs. obtaining a degree but would like to eventually earn some form of IT degree.

If anyone out there has any knowledge of security systems or advice over what classes I should look into taking I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

I have a chipped tooth in the back of my mouth that’s a little loose. I’ve been trying to pull it out for the past few days, but I think it’s still stuck on my gum, or whatever. Whenever I chew, it stings like hell. I just want to get rid of it without it hurting SO bad. Thanks in advance.

My 14 year olds gums are growing over her teeth. She will be haveing laser gum surgery next week. Her friends have told her horror stories and now she is terrified to tears. (Dumb friends). My company was bought out in May 2007. My insurance provider before we were bought out was Delta. Under the new care, we have Aetna, and basically thrown into a dental plan as a hew hire.(Technally weren’t new hire’s though). So, in early November, I had oral surgery done. My Dentist wants over 00. I was under the impression that my insurance would cover it.

WOW. Was I wrong. Apparently I have to be with Aetna for a year, before having major work done. NOBODY Informed me of this. I have the documentation that I was given, and nowhere does it state must wait a year.

Can you give me any suggegtions/advice for when I submit my claim letter. I really don’t feel like I should have to pay.

I’ve recently changed my mind regarding my career choice and I’ve decided that I want to go into Dentistry. However, I’m not sure what it takes to get in or what the process is.

I’m currently an undergrad at a University as a science major, but I have piss-poor… SHAMEFUL grades. Is there any way a Dental School would even look my way? (my GPA is less than 3.0…., but I’m going to work on bringing that up, however I only have one year left).

I still need to take the DATs, but I’ve been seeing that a lot of people who take the DATs also take the MCATs… do I need to take both for a Dental School to notice me? What kind of scores would I need? (I took a mock PAT without knowing what it was and I scored a 20)

What other extracurricular stuff would I need?

I truly wish to become an orthodontist, but I know my grades are so bad you can’t even laugh. Are there any other avenues through which I could become a Dentist?

Thank you for your post. Your personal story of triumph has given me a glimmer of hope. Though, I’m not sure about getting such great DAT scores as you.

May I ask which school(s) you got accepted into? At this point, I’m looking up dental schools that specifically state they don’t have a minimum GPA.

My mom’s thinking about going back to college, but doesn’t have the money to afford doing so along with sending me. What opportunities are there for her to go to a college and pay for it with work either during or after, possibly in teaching. I’ve heard of things where the government would pay for your college in turn for you teaching classes, but I’ve been unable to find what I was looking for online. Thanks in advance!

I just got my upper brace fitted and up until now I have always used those ‘flossers’ but now I’m not sure if that’s still possible as everyone seems to use the individual floss with a floss threader? Is it possible to still use them or should I be switching to floss?
