does majoring in engineering make it easier to get into medical school or dental school?
Given that medical schools and dental schools are GPA whores, will they show leniency towards a student majoring in a more difficult field such as engineering? The average GPA of admitted students are very high and the admission board say they take into account the kind of coursework but to what extent can this overshadow a lower than "medical/dental GPA"?

The higher MCAT/DAT score typically earned by Engineering Majors offsets the lower GPA.
