How do you get started in teaching English in foreign countries?

I keep reading about these different certification tests like the TEFL and the TESOL and it is confusing…what is the difference? And why do some people take these certification classes in other countries? Is it better to take an online certification course in the USA? And around how much does it cost? I would really love to hear from people who have these certifications and are teaching…

Remember you also need a degree to teach abroad. Plus you won’t get jobs teaching in Europe why one you have to be an EU citizen to get a job there, two an employer has to advetise teaching post in all 28 EU countries before they emply someone from outside the EU. To much red tape etc. Your best luck would be in Japan or other Asian countries
