I remember being so hungry after a root canal. I ate pizza. Cut into really small pieces, maybe 1 inch by 1 inch so you don’t have to open your mouth too wide. Then chew on the side of your mouth where you did not have surgery.
When I got my wisdom teeth out, I had all 4 out at once. That day I ate/drank a LOT of soup (cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, cream of broccoli….see the pattern?). If you had work done on both sides of your mouth, eat food that requires very little chewing like soup, overcooked mac n cheese, ensure/slim fast shakes, over cooked rice, mashed potatoes, etc.
Hope you feel better soon.
Regards,
mari
PS–You can eat as much as you normally do but watch out for teeth pain. Take your pain meds before the pain starts. It takes about 20 minutes for the meds to start working.
Have a rootbeer float (don’t use a straw!!)
if you can eat after oral surgery……..than do it ………..
I know… the surgery sucks. but dont eat hard foods, you can eat soft stuff untill your hearts content! but dont eat to much that your really full!" jello, mac an cheese, puddings, and noodles would be best for you to eat.
Try something in the soup or stew area…just make sure you don’t have to chew a lot of big pieces…
Didn’t they put you on a liquid or soft foods diet? If they did eat all of that you want.
